R.E.M.はBBCに残したアーカイヴから「レア音源や未発表のスタジオ／ライヴ音源」を収録した新たなコレクションから“Radio Free Europe”のライヴ音源が公開されている。
今回、公開されたのはノッティンガムにあるロック・シティでの1984年に行われたライヴからの音源となっている。
30年を超える期間の音源が収録される本作は最大8CD+1DVDとなっていて、1998年のジョン・ピール・セッションや2003年のドライヴタイム・アンド・マーク・アンド・ラード・アピアランス、2008年のRadio 1 ライヴ･ラウンジ・パフォーマンスなどが収録される。
その他にも1年の活動休止を経て行われた1995年の『モンスター』ツアーのミルトン・キーンズ公演、1999年のグラストンベリーでのヘッドライン・セット、2004年にロンドンのセント・ジェームス教会で行われた招待者のみのライヴ音源などが収録される。
DVDは、キャリアを包括した60分に及ぶパフォーマンスを収録した「アクセラレイティング・バックワーズ」が初めて商品化されるほか、1998年の「ジュールズ倶楽部」が全編収録され、「トップ・オブ・ザ・ポップス」の映像も収録される。
本作は10月19日にリリースされる。
