ジョージ・ハリソンは1973年発表のアルバム『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』の50周年記念エディションが11月15日にリリースされることが決定している。
リリース発表に合わせて、これまで未発表だった“Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) (Take 18)”の音源とトレイラー映像が公開されている。
本作50周年記念エディションはポール・ヒックスによってオリジナル・アルバムがリミックスされ、ダーニ・ハリソンとオリビア・ハリソンがプロデュースを行っている。
スーパー・デラックス・エディションのアルバムには、2枚のCD、2枚のLP、ドルビーアトモス対応のBlu-ray、および12曲の未発表音源が収録されている。ボックスセットにはジョージ・ハリソンのアーカイヴからの解説、写真、アートワークを収めた60ページのブックレット、およびロビー・ロバートソン、レヴォン・ヘルム、ガース・ハドソン、リック・ダンコとリンゴ・スターが参加した未発表音源“Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)”の7インチ・シングルが同梱される。
また、12ページのレコーディング・ノーツ・ブックレットも同梱されており、ジョージ・ハリソン・アーカイヴに保管されている『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』のオリジナルのプロダクション・ノート、写真、リール・トゥ・リールのセッションテープからの情報が掲載されている。
スーパー・デラックス・フォーマットに加え、2LPおよび2CDのデラックス・エディションも発売される。これらはオリジナル・アルバムの新ミックスとセッション・アウトテイクをペアリングしたものとなる。
オリヴィア・ハリスンはこのリリースについて次のように語っている。「私はみなさんが、『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』を再び聴くか、初めて発見することを願っています。そして、その音楽を聴きながら、ジョージが自分自身と人類に対して抱いた願いを共有してください」
