アイヴァー・ ノヴェロ賞は2019年の各賞のノミネート作品が発表され、アークティック・モンキーズやジョルジャ・スミス、アイドルズ、ザ・1975、ベン・ハワード、ジョージ・エズラ、ヤング・ファーザーズ、レッツ・イート・グランマらが各部門にノミネートされている。
年間を通して音楽や映画、TV番組、ゲームの分野で傑出していた「イギリスやアイルランドにおける素晴らしいソングライティング」を称える賞であるアイヴァー・ ノヴェロ賞には今年、48人のソングライターや作曲家がノミネートされており、そのうちの70％が初めてのノミネーションとなっている。
「2019年のアイヴァー・ ノヴェロ賞にノミネートされた作品は実に多岐にわたっており、初めてのノミネーションとなった方が多くいることを嬉しく思います」とアイヴァー・ ノヴェロ賞の代表を務めるクリスピン・ハントは述べている。「国内で唯一となる同業者の投票によるこの音楽賞は、今日においてイギリスやアイルランドに新進気鋭の才能に満ちた音楽クリエイターたちが登場していることを反映しています。ノミネートされたすべての方々に祝福を送ります」
受賞者は現地時間5月23日にロンドンのグロヴナー・ハウスに行われる授賞式で発表される。
